On 1 August 2020 (Saturday) at 5 p.m. a loud trial of outdoor warning sirens will be carried out for the purposes of public warning system testing.
The trial will be performed in connection with the 76th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, to commemorate the heroic insurgents of 1944.
It will involve the emission of an alarm signal – three minutes of uninterrupted sound from outdoor warning sirens. An additional check will be performed to test the correct emission of voice messages. The messages will be emitted from the public warning centre located in the Szczecin City Hall.
The warning signals and voice messages emitted as part of the trial do not require the residents of Szczecin to take any action.
