TSR 2024: They will also be celebrating the end of the regatta with us!

Although they are not taking part in The TallShipsRaces, they will appear in Szczecin for the finals. Additional vessels will arrive at our quays to celebrate this great sailing event.

The Dutch Wylde Swan, the German GorchFock, BalticBeauty, Joanna Saturna, Zawisza Czarny and military vessels, ORP Poznań, H-11 Bolko, H-13 Przemko – they will all arrive in Szczecin for the finals of The TallShipsRaces. These vessels will also open their decks and invite residents and tourists to visit them. Some of them will offer two-hour cruises.

Most of these vessels are already well known, having visited our quays during previous TSR events, with the exception of Wylde Swan – a vessel not seen in Szczecin for a long time.

“This is the largest two-mast topsail schooner in the world, which was built in 1920”, said Celina Wołosz, Spokesperson for Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia. “It is more than 62 m long and originally served as a fishing vessel in Germany. More specifically, for herring catches in the North Sea. Between 2007 and 2010, it was converted into a passenger sailing ship. It retained its classic appearance but was equipped with modern amenities”.

Wylde Swan competes in various sailing regattas and is used for organising training cruises for young people, where there can learn how to navigate a vessel and practice their teamwork and other sailing skills. It also offers tourist cruises in various waters, from the North Sea to the Caribbean.
