TSR 2024: Family fun at the sailing festival

The prestigious sailing event, The TallShipsRaces (TSR) 2024, will feature a range of attractions for children and families. The unique Children’s Zone, the Sports Zone and sponsor stands will offer numerous highlights and themed activities, but – above all – fun for everyone.

In the Children’s Zone, located next to the Adam Mickiewicz Monument, kids will be invited to take part in several performances, dance workshops, sea-themed activities, presentations by artistic groups, and numerous competitions and interactive games. The zone will provide kids with an opportunity to explore the most enjoyable realm of adventure, joyful play and mischief. For the duration of the finals of the TSR, the entire square will also host an interactive exhibition titled WELL-BEING (in Polish: Dobrostan) presenting the activities of diverse cultural institutions and schools.

Another place that will welcome the youngest attendees of the TSR will be the WOŚP square at Łasztownia.

“With active leisure enthusiasts in mind, sports activities will be organised by the Kangaroo Team from Przedszkoliada.pl, including football, volleyball, basketball and handball games” – said Celina Wołosz, Spokesperson for Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia. “The Children’s Zone will also offer windmill-making workshops, ping-pong tables where mini-tournaments with prizes will be held, and deckchairs for parents to relax and admire the panorama of Szczecin and the vibrant marina”.

In the Ecology Zone, children will be able to learn how to segregate waste. As a reward, they will receive gifts from EcoGenerator. Other attractions will await visitors in the Polish Tourist Organisation Zone.

“These will include a jump map, i.e., a large jigsaw puzzle with selected tourist attractions, and a ‘Treasure Sandbox’ where children will be able to discover buried treasure graphics related to Poland’s tourist attractions” – said  Celina Wołosz. - “The Water Zone will offer a chance to become a detective and have fun on a water playground. Finally, there will be a Harbour Town arranged by the Ministry of Infrastructure”.

Last but not least, let us not forget about the Sports Zone. Established on Grodzka Island, it will offer a range of attractions to choose from. For the duration of the TSR, the City Summer Zone will be transformed into a sports arena where all kinds of tournaments, games and team competitions will be held. Practising team and individual sports will be available for everyone.
