The Tall Ships Races: Public transport season tickets honoured on Polregio trains

During the final days of The Tall Ships Races 2024, between the 2nd and 4th of August, municipal public transport season tickets will be honoured on Polregio trains within the Szczecin Municipality area. The trains will run to current timetables. The carrier will also launch additional train connections for the upcoming finals of The Tall Ships Races regatta.

This arrangement is part of an agreement between the Szczecin Roads and Public Transport Authority (ZDiTM) and Polregio, allowing passengers with valid season public transport tickets (paper or electronic) to travel on Polregio regional trains according to the current timetable within the Szczecin Municipality area.

“In addition to this, Polregio will operate three extra train services to accommodate the influx of passengers attending the events. The additional trains will depart around midnight after the festivities conclude,” said Marta Zwierzyńska from the Public Transport Authority (ZDiTM).

The extra trains will run on the following routes:

• Szczecin Główny to Stargard
• Szczecin Główny to Gryfino
• Szczecin Główny to Goleniów

These additional services will be available on the nights of August 2-3, August 3-4, and August 4-5. Standard Polregio tickets will apply for these trains.
