The Modertrans Poznań company was the only one to submit the bid on a contract for the provision of parts to new tramways for Szczecin. This time they will include the double-sided cars which will constitute a perfect addition the already purchased trams, especially during construction and repair works and in case of limited possibility for turning the car around.

The subject of the agreement enter red into with the contractor will be the provision of bodywork, elements, subassemblies, equipment, mechanical and electric parts necessary for the assembly of double-sided tram cars. The trams include articulated, multiple-unit and partially low-floor cars. The trams will be assembled in Szczecin by the employees of the company. The parts for two tram cars together with the supply of necessary specialist maintenance and repair equipment will not be the only products delivered under the agreement. The Ordering Party reserves the right to opt for the ordering and supply of additional new elements required for the assembly of another two cars.

The agreement will be implemented in two stages. At the first stage the contractor will deliver the complete elements for the  assembly of the first tram car within 180 days. The second stage will give the contractor 240-day time limit from the day of signing the agreement for the delivery of parts for another tram car. The assembly of trams will last two months. The funds allocated by the company for the implementation of this task amount to PLN 12 300 00. Modertrans Poznań company suggested the amount of PLN 12 588 300. The documentation and the company’s financial capabilities are being verified at the moment.
