The first days of works on the redevelopment of rail tracks involved intensive disassembly works. The changes to the traffic arrangement are carefully analysed, and adjustments will be introduced together with the next stage, which will begin on Saturday, 23 January.

As part of the successive stage, works will continue on Kołłątaja Street on the section from Giedroycia Roundabout to Sybiraków Roundabout and along Asnyka Street on the section from Sybiraków Roundabout to  Boguchwały Street.

“The closing will also apply to the remaining section of Asnyka Street to the Niebuszewo Station, Orzeszkowej Street on the section from Kołłątaja to Asnyka Streets, and Boguchwały Street,” said Hanna Pieczyńska, the press spokesperson of Tramwaje Szczecińskie. “The works will involve the complete closing of traffic on these streets.

Works will also be launched on the trackway along Matejki Street on the section from Piłsudskiego Street to Żołnierza Polskiego Square. They will cover the western lane (leading to Żołnierza Polskiego Square).

TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENT IN NIEBUSZEWO:

The following changes to the traffic arrangement will continue to apply:

- On Wyzwolenia Avenue, the section from Odzieżowa Street to Giedroycia Roundabout, the inner lane will be arranged for urban transport vehicles only, except for the section before the intersection with Felczaka Street, where a left turn from this lane will be permitted for all vehicles.

- On Wyzwolenia Avenue, the section from Krasińskiego Street to Giedroycia Roundabout, the inner lane will be designated solely for urban transport vehicles

- The entry from Giedroycia Roundabout to Kołłątaja Street will be possible only for urban transport buses heading for the “Kołłątaja” terminus. The traffic on the terminus will take place in a reverse direction. Buses will go through Barbary Street to Długosza Street

- The passage along Niemcewicza Street through the construction site will be closed

- The passage along Kadłubka Street through the construction site will be possible in the direction from Niemcewicza to Kołłątaja Street

- Długosza Street on the section from Św. Barbary Street to Wyzwolenia Avenue will be a one-way street in the direction towards Wyzwolenia Avenue

- On the intersection of Naruszewicza, Kołłątaja and Kadłubka Streets, the right of way will be changed

- Due to considerable urban transport bus delays on Staszica Street, the bus lane will be extended to Giedroycia Street, so only one lane will be open for other vehicles.

- Boguchwały Street will be closed

- At the intersection of Orzeszkowej, Kołłątaja and Warcisława Streets, at the entry from Orzeszkowej Street, a left turn to Warcisława Street will be permitted

TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENT ON MATEJKI STREET:

As part of this stage, works will also be launched on the trackway along Matejki Street on the section from Piłsudskiego Street to Żołnierza Polskiego Square. They will cover the western lane (leading to Żołnierza Polskiego Square).

The following traffic arrangement changes will be introduced as part of this stage of the works:

- At the northern entry to the intersection of Matejki and Piłsudskiego Streets, only a right turn to Piłsudskiego Street will be allowed. The turn will be permitted from two lanes.

- At the southern entry to the intersection of Matejki and Piłsudskiego Streets, one of the two left-turn lanes will be closed

- At the western entry to the intersection of Matejki and Piłsudskiego Streets, only the inner left-turn lane for turning to Matejki Street will be available for all vehicles, the central lane will be designated for urban transport buses turning left, and the right lane will be for urban transport buses turning around at the intersection

- Traffic light schemes will be changed on the following intersections: Matejki – Piłsudskiego Streets and Hołdu Pruskiego Square

- It will not be possible for vehicles to pass through Matejki Street on Mazowiecka and Małopolska Streets

URBAN TRANSPORT

Due to the launch of another stage of redevelopment of tram trackways (Matejki Street, the section from Piłsudskiego Street to Żołnierza Polskiego Square), on 23 January 2021 changes to tram and bus lines traffic will be introduced.

- Line No. 1 trams will run according to a special timetable along the route between Głębokie and Stocznia Szczecińska (on weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 8 a.m., with selected trips extended on Saturdays to Ludowa Street

- Line No. 70 buses in the direction to the Main Station (Dworzec Główny), Elektrownia Pomorzany, Kamieniec and Pargowo from the “Plac Rodła” stop will run through Wyzwolenia Avenue, Żołnierza Polskiego Avenue and Hołdu Pruskiego Avenue to Małopolska Street, with no changes to the rest of the route.

- Line C and H buses in the direction to the right-bank area will run according to a special timetable along a changed route: from the starting point at “Plac Rodła” stop the buses will turn around on the intersection of Piłsudskiego and Matejki Streets, and follow through Rodła Steet and Wyzwolenia Avenue to Żołnierza Polskiego Street, and then follow the regular route. In addition, the “Plac Rodła” stop will be put in place to be shared between lines A and B towards the right-bank area.

Changes applicable from 9 January: 

- Line No. 2 trams run according to a special timetable along the route between Las Arkoński and Turkusowa.

-  Line No. 10 trams run according to a special timetable along the route between Gumieńce and Potulicka.

-  Line No. 12 trams run according to a special timetable along the route between Las Arkoński and Pomorzany.

- At the “Kołłątaja” terminus there  is a change in the direction of traffic – buses enter from Giedroycia Roundabout and leave via  Barbary Street  and Długosza Street.

- Line No. 51 and 78 buses run according to a special timetable along a changed route: from the "Krasińskiego Wiadukt" stop via Krasińskiego Street, Wyzwolenia Avenue, Giedroycia Roundabout to the "Kołłątaja" terminus; return via Barbary Street, Długosza Street, Wyzwolenia Avenue, Krasińskiego Street to the "Krasińskiego Wiadukt" stop, and then follow the regular route. The "Niemcewicza" and "Dworzec Niebuszewo" stops are closed. Instead, the "Krasińskiego" stop has been opened (in both directions – shared with tram lines).

Line No. 87 buses on routes to the "Dworzec Główny (Owocowa)" terminus run according to a special timetable with a changed route: from the "Krasińskiego Wiadukt" stop via Krasińskiego Street, Wyzwolenia Avenue, Giedroycia Roundabout to Staszica Street and then go the regular route; return along the same route. The "Niemcewicza" and "Dworzec Niebuszewo" stops are closed. Instead, the "Krasińskiego" stop has been opened (in both directions – shared with tram lines).

Line No. 87 buses on routes to the "Kołłątaja" terminus run according to a special timetable with a changed along the same route as lines No. 51 and 78.

Line No. 69 buses run according to a special timetable with a changed route: from the "Orzeszkowej" bus stop through Naruszewicza Street, Krasińskiego Street, Wyzwolenia Avenue, Giedroycia Roundabout to the "Kołłątaja" terminus; return through Barbary Street, Długosza Street, Naruszewicza Street to Kołłątaja Street and then go the regular route. The "Niemcewicza" stop will be closed. Instead, the "Krasińskiego" stop has been opened (in the direction of the "Kołłątaja" terminus – shared with tram lines) and the "Orzeszkowej" stop (in the direction of the "Rugiańska" terminus – opposite the stop in the direction of the "Kołłątaja" terminus). The "Orzeszkowej" stop will have a permanent-stop status in both directions.

On line No. 69, all routes run between Kołłątaja and Rugiańska (without extensions to the "Ludowa" terminus).

Line No. 57, 63 and 82 buses run according to a special timetable with a changed route: from Cyryla i Metodego Street through Ofiar Oświęcimia Street, Staszica Street, Giedroycia Roundabout to the "Kołłątaja" terminus; return via Barbary Street, Długosza Street, Wyzwolenia Avenue, Giedroycia Roundabout, Staszica Street, Ofiar Oświęcimia Street to Cyryla i Metodego Street and then go the regular route. The "Niemcewicza" and "Boguchwały" stops are closed. Instead, "Ofiar Oświęcimia" stops will be opened (in the direction of the "Kołłątaja" terminus shared with lines No. 53, 60 and 67; in the direction of Cyryla i Metodego Street on Ofiar Oświęcimia Street past the intersection with Staszica Street).

Moreover:

In both directions, buses will additionally stop at "Kołłątaja" stops along Staszica Street;

 The "Cyryla i Metodego" stops will be temporarily relocated to the area of the intersection of Cyryla i Metodego and Ofiar Oświęcimia Streets.

Line B buses run according to a special timetable with a changed route: from the "Krasińskiego Wiadukt" stop via Krasińskiego Street, Wyzwolenia Avenue, Giedroycia Roundabout, Staszica Street, Lubomirskiego Street to Wyzwolenia Avenue and then go the regular route. The "Niemcewicza" stop will be closed. The "Kołłątaja" stop will be located on Staszica Street in both directions (shared with lines 53, 60 and 67).

On line B, connections with line No. 51 are cancelled.

Line No. 522 buses run according to the standard timetable with a changed route: from Cyryla i Metodego Street through Ofiar Oświęcimia Street, Staszica Street to Giedroycia Roundabout and then go the regular route. The "Niemcewicza" and "Boguchwały" stops will be closed. Instead, "Ofiar Oświęcimia" stops will be opened (in the direction of Prawobrzeże shared with lines No. 53, 60 and 67; in the direction of Cyryla i Metodego Street on Ofiar Oświęcimia Street past the intersection with Staszica Street). Additionally, the "Cyryla i Metodego" stops will be temporarily relocated to the area of the intersection of Cyryla i Metodego and Ofiar Oświęcimia Streets.

Line No. 523 buses run according to the regular timetable with changed route: from the bus stop "Orzeszkowej" via Naruszewicza Street, Krasińskiego Street, Wyzwolenia Avenue to Giedroycia Roundabout and then without changes; return along the same route. The "Niemcewicza" stop will be closed. Instead, the "Krasińskiego" stop has been opened (in both directions – shared with tram lines) and "Orzeszkowej" stop (in the direction of the "Wiszesława" terminus – opposite the stop in the direction of the "Cukrowa" terminus).
