The government informs that the matriculation examination will take place on the 8th-29th of June and the eighth grade examination on the 16th-18th of June. At the same time, we are extending the closing of schools, kindergartens and nurseries as well as limiting the teaching activity at higher education institutions - until the 24th of May. All dates depend on Poles maintaining current sanitary discipline. In the near future, the government may present decisions regarding the conduct of certain forms of day care in some of the educational facilities.

The Minister of National Education Dariusz Piontkowski expressed the hope that the epidemic situation will allow to carry out the planned examinations while maintaining security requirements. "Each student will sit in a separate bench to make examinations safe for students, teachers and their families," said the Minister. He added that the government is complying with its previous declaration and gives the high school graduates and eighth graders time to prepare for the exams.

The matriculation examination
- Date: the 8th-29th of June 2020.
- There will be no oral Matura exam this year.
- An additional matriculation examination should take place at the beginning of July this year.
- We anticipate that the results of the Matura exam will be published by around the 11th of August 2020.
- People who would like to write the correction of their matriculation examination could do so at the beginning of September.

Eighth grade exam
- Date: the 16th-18th of June 2020.
- We plan that the eighth grade exam results will be available by the end of July. Then, students will be able to submit their certificates and the results of the exams documents to secondary schools of their choosing.
Vocational exam and confirmation of qualifications in the profession
- Form (core curriculum) 2012 and 2017: the 22nd of June – the 9th of July 2020.
- Form (core curriculum) 2019: the 17th-28th of August 2020

Extension of closure of schools, kindergartens and nurseries
- Date: the 24th of May 2020.
- Until then, pupils from primary and secondary schools will continue their education in a remote form.
- In the near future we will provide information on the possibility of conducting some forms of care in chosen educational facilities.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education Wojciech Murdzek informed that due to the new dates of matriculation exams, the recruitment process for universities will be modified. "The principle that final exams are a qualitative determinant in recruitment for higher education institutions is maintained”, stressed the minister. He added that it is possible for the academic year to start as usual.

Restricting activities at universities
- Date: the 24th of May 2020
- Scientific research is still not suspended.- We encourage higher education institutions to launch research activities that should take place in safe conditions, taking into account the current state of threat to employees' health.
- We encourage higher education institutions to plan the return of administrative employees from remote to full-time work.

Referring to the announced dates of high school and eighth graders final exams, Minister of Health Łukasz Szumowski said that the dates depended on whether Poles would still wear masks and maintain social distance, including in public transport.
