Vaccinations against COVID-19 at nursing homes have started

As planned, on Monday, nursing homes in Szczecin started vaccinating their residents. In total, more than 90 percent of the residents agreed to have themselves vaccinated. This is the next step to make older people safe.

"Vaccines are being given in three municipal nursing homes, at Krucza and Romera Streets (homes for older people and chronically physically ill patients) and at Broniewskiego Street (home for chronically mentally ill patients)," says Maciej Homis, spokesman for the Municipal Family Support Centre (MOPR) in Szczecin. "In total, in all three homes there are now nearly 500 residents. And more than 90 percent of them have agreed to have themselves vaccinated.

Vaccines are being given by Mobile Teams from the Independent Public Healthcare University Unit (SPZOZSW). The vaccination is expected to be completed on Friday.
