The Tourist Information Centre is hosting a painting exhibition entitled “My City – Szczecin”
Marta Kufel
Authored by the Bohema Plastic Arts Group, the paintings are put on display at the Tourist Information Centre on Żołnierza Polskiego Square. The exhibition will run until 26 June.
The exhibition features 22 works by members of the Bohema Group. Some of the authors have a particular interest in the city's history – their paintings focus on Szczecin's old architectural landmarks. Others are more drawn to modern structures, including industrial infrastructure. And then there are artists who are mainly preoccupied with natural monuments, forests and mires. They view Szczecin as a green and blue city.
Bohema is a hobby group established as part of the University of the Third Age Association in Szczecin. Dating back 25 years, the group comprises an assortment of personalities and talents spanning a range of techniques. They include drawing teachers with formal education in plastic arts, as well as amateurs. Their works – mainly canvasses, graphics and drawings – explore various themes and subjects.
