Tender for a new kindergarten

A tender for an investment related to the construction of a kindergarten at Przygodna Street has been announced. Construction companies interested in participating in the tender have to submit their bids until January 14, 2021.

The planned facility will have two storeys. There will be an elevator and an open interior atrium. Kindergarten units will be located on 2 floors: 7 on the ground floor, 7 on the first floor. A children's club unit with a separate entrance will be located on the ground floor. All rooms for children will be equipped with modern equipment for exercise, games and physical activities, such as a "magic carpet", interactive monitors and other toys. The kindergarten will also include a "world experience" room equipped with various devices stimulating the development of children's senses. The facility will have full kitchen and social facilities, rest and refreshment facilities for auxiliary and cleaning staff (with a warehouse and technical anex), a multi-functional room with telescopic stands and dedicated facilities, a sports hall, administrative rooms, facilities with a conference room for teachers.

The building will be energy-efficient, among others, through the use of a heating system using solar panels, heat pump or LED lighting. An extensive monitoring and access control system will be installed in it.

The outer part will comprise a multi-purpose sports field with a safe synthetic surface; there will also be playgrounds with extensive equipment for integration, a sensory path and a sledge hill. A vegetable and flower garden as a space for Eco-education for the youngest is also planned. Greenery in the form of trees and bushes of various species will be planted around the facility. A public car park for parents (with access control) and a utility yard with parking spaces for staff and suppliers will also be built.

The investment will be implemented in the design and build formula. The investment implementation will be supervised by the Biuro Inwestycji i Remontów Oświatowych Urzędu Miasta Szczecin (Investments and Educational Renovations Office of the Szczecin City Hall). The future contractor will have to complete the investment until July 15,2022. The investment will be carried out in the design and build formula.

More vacancies in nurseries will be provided

In addition to the investment at Przygodna Street, the City of Szczecin also plans to adapt to the needs of another municipal nursery, the premises at Kusocińskiego Street 2. It will provide vacancies for 88 children. The facility will be built next year. Pursuant to the decision of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy (Ministerstwo Rodziny i Polityki Społecznej), Szczecin will receive funds in the amount of PLN 2,640,000 for the implementation of this project under the government "Maluch+2021" (Toddler+2021) competition. It is estimated that the total cost of establishing a new nursery will amount to PLN 4,150,000.
