Szczecin’s bathing places are already open!

The summer season and holidays are getting closer. So it is high time to open the gates to Szczecin’s bathing sites. On 15 June, lifeguards began their work and admission ticket sales were launched.

It is here that you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city without actually leaving it, as well as relax surrounded by nature and feel the holiday atmosphere even in the middle of the week. It is no wonder that Szczecin’s bathing sites are so popular with the locals who visit them in great numbers each year.

Surely everyone has their favourite place, but the one that shines brightest at the moment is definitely the Dąbie bathing site. A year and a half after its modernisation, it is still one of the most beautiful places of this kind in the region, featuring playgrounds, barbecue areas, shelters, deckchairs, picnic tables and beach volleyball courts, as well as a unique promenade illuminated in the evenings. Catering points will also be launched. It is a perfect place to enjoy spectacular sunsets over the lake. To make this possible, the opening hours of the Dąbie bathing site have been extended to 10.00 p.m. Whether this remains the case depends largely on the users themselves, above all on their observance of the bathing regulations and the ban on going into the water late in the evenings.

The city’s other two bathing sites, Głębokie and Dziewoklicz, also have their enthusiasts. Surrounded by nature, they attract visitors with their atmosphere and picturesque settings. There are places to relax, sanitary facilities and changing rooms, as well as beach volleyball courts. During the summer season, catering points will also be established. The youngest visitors will be able to run wild and play on inflatable water structures.

In line with the resolution of the City Council, the bathing season in Szczecin will last until the end of August. However, as the first days of September this year fall on a weekend, lifeguards will work at the city’s bathing sites until 3 September.
