Szczecin Christmas Fair with local entrepreneurs in mind

There is a special time ahead of us. As every year, Szczecin will have its Christmas Fair (Jarmark Bożonarodzeniowy), but this time not in the city streets, but online. The on-line Szczecin Christmas Fair is a continuation of the campaign supporting Szczecin-based companies – the Szczecin Local Solidarity for Christmas (Szczeciński Lokalny Solidarny na Święta).

Once again, we meet the expectations of the city's residents. The organisation of the Christmas Fair in its traditional form is currently difficult and uncertain, and Szczecin must have its own Fair. And here we come with the on-line Christmas Fair, which is a continuation of support for Szczecin-based companies – the Szczecin Local Solidarity for Christmas.

“From December 4 (or 6 at the latest), you will be able to do Christmas shopping via the website www.jarmark.szczecin.eu,” said Celina Wołosz, the press spokeswoman of the Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia (Żegluga Szczecińska Tourism Events) company. “Continuing the aid campaign for entrepreneurs, the Szczecin Local Solidarity campaign, which started last spring, we will gather in one place the offers of Szczecin’s eateries, providing delicious catering for the Christmas Eve supper, craftsmen with their unique jewellery, florists with original decorations and make-up artists with vouchers for their services.

In the virtual Fair, you will find gifts for everyone, from the most demanding ones, to local patriots, who collect gadgets with the Cranosauruses (Szczecin’s landmark cranes), to those who will be pleased with even the smallest little thing. What is significant, entrepreneurs do not have to pay for anything. Participation in the virtual fair is free of charge.

How is it going to work? Simply as follows: on the map of the virtual Fair, there will be houses with the names of specific entrepreneurs and a short description of their products and services. Clicking a given icon will display information whether purchases can be made online, by phone or at the entrepreneur's brick-and-mortar store.

This year's online Christmas Fair will be a great assistance to our local entrepreneurs.

Thanks to promotional campaigns, including in commercials, social media, radio and television we will reach the residents of Szczecin, who will prepare this year's holidays locally – together with small entrepreneurs from their own neighbourhood.

The Szczecin Christmas Fair has already entered the pre-Christmas calendar of Szczecin residents for good, and although it has disappeared from the city space this year, we will not let it disappear forever.

“Nowadays, the web is an ideal place to do pre-Christmas shopping,” said Celina Wołosz. “With us it will be possible from 4 (6) December to 31 January 2021.

The Christmas Fair held under the campaign Szczecin Local Solidarity for Christmas is not the only form of promotion offered by the City. The City Hall will also support artists.
