Spanish accent during the Żagle (Sails) event

On Saturday after sunset we will have an opportunity to participate in a unique concert of Spanish music led by Krzysztof Meisinger. The entire event will be held on the sailing ship Atyla.

Such a concert has never taken place before. One of the most outstanding and charismatic classical guitarists Krzysztof Meisinge,r together with his orchestra, will perform for Szczecin’s audience on Saturday.

The maestro collaborates with such classical-music stars as Sumi Jo, the Philharmonia Quartett Berlin and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields orchestra. International critics compare his talent to that of such artists as Piotr Anderszewski or Pepe Romero, and his masters include such great guitarists of our time as Aniello Desiderio or Christopher Parkening.

He performs all over the world from Tokyo to Los Angeles and Buenos Aires, playing concerts in the most renowned concert halls such as the Musikverein in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London, Tokyo International Forum, the Berlin Philharmonic, Theatre du Chatelet in Paris and The Grand Theatre - National Opera in Warsaw.

On Saturday, 31 July, he will perform for the Szczecin audience on a Spanish schooner. You can listen to the concert while walking along the boulevards and stopping at the Nabrzeże Pasażerskie (Passenger Berth).

The baroque orchestra "Poland baROCK", founded by its leader and artistic director Meisinger, will take us to the hot Spain.

“This orchestra brings together excellent young musicians focused on the performance of early music with outstanding and very experienced artists in this field,” says Celina Wołosz, the spokesperson of the company Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia (Szczecin Shipping Tourism Events company). “Thanks to this, Poland baROCK is an ensemble in which young energy meets open minds and the world of musical fantasy.”

Since its inception, the orchestra has performed at international festivals and in the most prestigious concert halls, where it always receives enthusiastic applause from audiences and critics, such as in May 2021, when Poland BaROCK performed with Krzysztof Meisinger in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna. The concert ended with a standing ovation.

Poland baROCK also represents a new trend in instrumentation – it is probably the first project in the history of music to combine an "orthodox" baroque orchestra with the modern classical guitar. In 2018, the Poland baROCK orchestra, together with Krzysztof Meisinger, recorded their first album entitled "Vivaldissimo", which caused a huge sensation among international critics, with the German magazine "Klassik Haute" hailing it as a "masterpiece".
