SBO (the SCB - the Szczecin Civic Budget) 2021 - 113 projects on the list in the end

The project, which has aroused controversy in recent days, is back on the voting list.

      - After getting acquainted with the positions of all parties, listening to the residents, project designers and SBO teams, we decided that the only right decision with such extreme attitudes and opinions would be to hand over the fate of the project to the residents - says Magdalena Błaszczyk, the director of the Civic Dialogue Office (Biuro Dialogu Obywatelskiego). – The SBO is a special form of consultation, which should be based from start to finish on what the residents want.

The project, apart from the formal path, has also been subject to public opinion, therefore the residents will be able to decide for themselves whether they want to give its authors a chance and vote for their project.

      - We believe that the advertisement published by the applicants should not take place - explains Magdalena Błaszczyk. - Regardless of the circumstances, this form of soliciting votes is controversial and may be perceived as contradicting the idea of the SBO. At the same time, we appreciate the attitude and take the authors of the project, who have declared to withdraw from similar practices, at their word,.

As a result, the project remained on the list of 113 projects for which residents will be able to vote in this year's voting under the Szczecin Civic Budget (Szczeciński Budżet Obywatelski). Voting starts on December 7 at 9.00 a.m. and will last until December 21, also until 9.00 a.m.

Let us remind you that the Civic Dialogue Office of the City of Szczecin, as the coordinator of the consultation process of the Szczecin Civic Budget, changed the initial, positive evaluation of the office, therefore the project "Heading North – the Bismarck Tower (Kurs na Północ – Wieża Bismarcka), Tilebein Park (Park Tilebein), the "Wodna" Water Watchtower (Stanica Wodniacka „Wodna”), the View Trail (Szlak Widokowy)" was given a negative verification status. The Appeals Team did not decide to finally reject the project and submitted the project for re-verification at the office.

The decisions are related to the following job offer that appeared on a social media website: "JOB - COLLECTING SIGNATURES". The job consists in collecting signatures in Szczecin using tablets. You are required to collect votes from 42 people daily. We offer PLN 3 for one vote per person.

(...) if you collect 42 votes faster, you can finish your work after 4 hours or earn more (...)

(...) the more you collect, the more you earn (...)

(...) The votes concern: the development of the area around the Bismarck Tower, the revitalization of the Tilebein Park, the construction of the "Wodna" Water Watchtower, the creation of the Northern View Trail, the creation of the Family Clearing of Princess Dąbrówka (Polana Rodzinna Księżniczki Dąbrówki (..) "
