Reversed traffic direction on Żyzna Street

Next Saturday the traffic arrangement along Żyzna Street in the Krzekowo-Bezrzecze estate will be changed. The change will consist of reversing the traffic direction on the one-way part of the street.

After the change the traffic will move from Drozdowa Street to Żniwna Street (a reverse of the previous arrangement). Bicycle traffic will not be affected, and still be allowed in both directions. On the days preceding the change there may be implementation works under way, so please apply special caution.

The change is aimed at improving and facilitating the traffic arrangement of the Krzekowo-Bezrzecze estate, especially for its residents. Transferring part of the local traffic towards Żniwna Street and further to Łukasińskiego and Taczaka Streets should also facilitate urban transport flow along  Modra and Szeroka Streets, improving bus times. Although the current morning-time traffic hindrances are not particularly severe due to the fact that a part of the residents work or study from home, the proposed solution will prevent future problems after lifting the restrictions related to the epidemic and with increased traffic.

Żyzna Street is within the low traffic vehicle zone and will remain so. Additional elements will be introduced as part of the project in the form of local narrowing and S-shaped traffic patterns. Changes in the traffic arrangements are temporary. If met with residents' approval, they may become permanent.
