Due to the gradual "defrosting" of the economy, a stop in the Paid Parking Zone (SPP) and on Pl. Orła Białego will be paid again - the councillors of Szczecin decided on Tuesday.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, SPP controllers have not checked parking fees since mid-March. As more and more companies and institutions resume operations, it is possible to return to charging fees in the Paid Parking Zone. A resolution on this matter was voted today by the councillors of Szczecin.
At the same time, the councillors decided that the period of validity of the flat-rate fees and subscription fees would be extended by the period of validity of the epidemic threat or epidemic status, but not longer than until the date of entry into force of the above mentioned resolution.
- Similar provisions apply to the regulations of paid unguarded parking lots at Pl. Orła Białego - says Wojciech Jachim, spokesman for NiOL. - Councillors decided to resume charging for parking in these parking lots and to extend the period of validity of access cards in the Old Town - Parking for the time from announcing the state of epidemic threat to the time the resolution enters into force.
Both resolutions will come into force 14 days after being published in the Official Journal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
