      Over a hundred artists will open the doors of their studios throughout Szczecin. This will be a unique opportunity for art lovers to meet with artists, see them at work and finally see closely artworks that have not been exhibited before.

      On 16-19 September you can take a look inside the studios of Szczecin’s artists and get to know them better!

      The inauguration of the Open Art Weekend and, at the same time, the symbolic opening of the new Szczecin Art Season will take place on 16 September this year (Thursday) at 6 p.m. The event will be held in the headquarters of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers at 14 Koński Kierat Street.

      The inauguration programme includes, among others:

      - Exhibition by Stanisława Dobrzeniecka- Żyłkowska entitled „Porachunki” (Reckoning),

      - The open-air concert „Muzyka w przestrzeni” (Music in space), which was created in cooperation with the Nasze Śródmieście Association and the Swing-Jazz Trio (Anna Nowik – trombone, vocals, Marcin Matecki – piano, Ryszard Słowicki – percussion instruments),

      - the installation of an impressive work entitled “Wspólny Stół” (The Common Table) (a 21-metre-long tablecloth by Renata Ramola and Anna Molska),

      - visualisation/painting/sculpture by Ela Blanka Sawicka ( 16 Koński Kierat Street),

      - workshops and exhibition of works in the Monika Krupowicz’s Open Mind gallery (17/1 Koński Kierat Street),

      - Szczecin Próżnia – experimental studio and gallery by Aleksandra Demaniuk and Aleksandra Stankiewicz (15 Koński Kierat Street).

      “Find your passion for art studios”

      This is the motto under which on 18 September this year (Saturday) at 01:15 p.m. by the Mariner’s Monument a walk along the locations of six selected studios will begin, including those dealing with graphic techniques, art pottery, photography, visual arts and scenography, painting and mosaics, and guitar making.

      PLEASE NOTE! Participants are asked to bring with them a small object that they consider their favourite.

      Studios are waiting for residents

      First of all, however, what is worth remembering is that from Thursday, 16 September, to Sunday, 19 September, interested people will be able to visit 50 Szczecin’s artistic studios participating in this year’s edition of the project. Apart from seeing closely the space where local artists work, many attractions will be waiting for participants, including various workshops, shows and presentations.

      Detailed information about the studios participating in the project, opening hours, artists, the programme of the event and rules of visiting particular places are available on the FB profile of Pracownie Artystyczne – Szczecin. What is important, participating in some of the events requires booking a place in advance.

      This event is organised by the City of Szczecin and the “Oswajanie Sztuki” Artistic Association, the Czas Przestrzeń Tożsamość [Time Space Identity] Association, and the Film Services Foundation. The event is part of the “Szczecin’s creative studios” programme, promoting and popularising culture and art
