Nominate your candidate and win attractive water prizes

We are collecting applications for the International Sailing Awards of Szczecin. Submitters may win a 90-minute-long motorboat cruise or a motorboat course.

Application forms will be accepted until 15 February. From among all submitted applications the jury will choose three nominees in each category, but the statuette and the title will be eventually conferred on only one of them.  Applications can be submitted using an electronic application form available on https://www.accredi.pl/nagrodyzeglarskie. You can also download an application form from the following website: http://nagrodyzeglarskie.szczecin.pl/ and then email it to the following address:  nagrody.zeglarskie@zstw.szczecin.pl.

This year’s prizes will be awarded in 9 categories:

Captain Ludomir Mączka Award

Voyage of the Year – Wyszak Award

Sailor of the Year

Regatta Racer of the Year – Captain Kazimierz Kuba Jaworski Award

Sailing Promoter – Captain Kazimierz Haska Award

Umbriaga the Cat Award

Sailing Event

Coach of the Year – Teodor Czarnecki Award

Special Sailing Award

Candidates can be nominated by residents of Szczecin, the Westpomeranian Region and Western Pomerania, whilst in the case of the Captain Ludomir Mączka Award also by residents of any other region of Poland. In addition, candidates can be nominated by the jury members and public institutions, unions, associations, foundations, organisations and sailing clubs. Nominees for particular awards will be selected from among the proposed candidates. The award winners will be announced on 27 March.

Like last year, we have also envisaged prizes for those proposing candidates for the Sailing Awards. Anyone who sends an application will participate in a competition for the most interesting candidate description, in which the prizes include:

3 x a 90-minute-long motorboat cruise;

5 x “Trzymam się morza” [Sticking to the sea] - a book written by Maciej Krzeptowski, including the author’s autograph;

1 x “Marią dookoła świata, dwadzieścia lat później” [Around the world od Maria, twenty years later] - an audiobook;

1 x a voucher for the Motorboat Helmsman License, to be used in 2021, worth PLN 500.00;

1 x a voucher for the License to tow a water skier, to be used in 2021, worth PLN 450.00;

10 x a voucher worth PLN 50.00 each for a catamaran trip on 2 August at 11:00 a.m. during the Tall Ships Races 2021;

Books and audiobooks have been funded by Maciej Krzeptowski. Cruises have been funded by Żegluga Szczecińska Tourism Events. Vouchers have been funded by Centrum Motorowodne Elżbieta Kołpaczyńska.
