New family-friendly environment

The Family Initiatives Centre was officially launched. Here, parents will gain key knowledge about the city’s offer addressed directly to them.
The main task of the Family Initiatives Centre will be the initiation, dissemination and strengthening of the city's offer of support for families in cooperation with a variety of institutions and NGOs.
“It is a family-friendly space where our residents will find comprehensive information about the city’s offerings ,” said Piotr Krzystek, the Mayor of Szczecin.
Such knowledge is often scattered across various offices or institutions. Now parents may find out in one place what programmes they can benefit from or how to spend interesting free time with their children. After the previously launched City Housing Agency and Senior Citizens' Centre, this is another project of this kind. The staff of the Family Initiatives Centre will prepare an offer which will be tailored to the individual needs of the participating residents.
Experienced parents will be able to discover, for example, the range of interesting activities, classes and events organised in Szczecin for themselves and their children. Meanwhile, the newlyweds will obtain information on how to register the birth of their baby, with a complete set of information on the preferences they can take advantage of in the city.
The Family Initiatives Centre will also serve as a venue for interesting meetings, workshops and events. The Centre is located at 51 Wojska Polskiego Avenue and operates from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm.
