From Goleniów to Lviv flight

Wizz Air, the Hungarian low-cost airline, is launching the long-awaited in Western Pomerania connection to Ukraine. From the 3rd of July this year we will be able to fly on the route Lviv - Szczecin - Lviv twice a week. The destination will be operated by a 180-seat Airbus A-320 aircraft.
- We have been lobbying for this connection for a long time, we have talked to several carriers and I am glad that Wizz Air has decided to take this step. In these difficult times, this is a very good news, which entrepreneurs have been eagerly awaiting for. - said Marshal Olgierd Geblewicz. - I hope that the epidemiological situation will allow to start flights as planned.
The departure from Lviv to Szczecin is planned on Monday mornings, and return to Ukraine afterwards. The same on Fridays. This arrangement of the network of connections is a huge facilitation for the citizens of Ukraine working in the region, but also an opportunity for the inhabitants of West Pomerania for a weekend trip. Ticket prices start from 109 PLN one way.
- The cooperation of the Szczecin-Goleniów Airport and Wizz Air is based on a long lasting will to develop a network of connections at the Szczecin airport. We are sure that if the route to Lviv is successful, there will be more of them in the future - said Maciej Dziadosz, President of the Management Board of the Szczecin-Goleniów Airport.
Wizz Air decided to launch a new base at the airport in Lviv in July, what helped the launch of this new connection.

Today's event is another milestone in the history of WIZZ in Ukraine - the announcement of the opening of the base in Lviv and the launch of 5 new routes from July. In addition, we announce 2 new routes to Kharkov. This investment highlights our long-term commitment to this country, says George Michalopoulos, commercial director at Wizz Air.
Wizz Air already operates flights from Goleniów to Bergen, Oslo Torp and Stavanger. Currently, 5 Carriers (PLL LOT, Ryanair, Norwegian, Wizz Air and SAS) offer their scheduled connections from Szczecin - Goleniów Airport on 12 routes.
