Free guided tours to celebrate the Guide Day

On 24 February, we will be celebrating the 11th International Tourist Guide Day. To mark this occasion, the city will offer its residents free guided sightseeing and historical tours of Szczecin. Tour reservations start on 15 February.
As every year, guides will celebrate their special day by inviting Szczecin’s residents to join free historical tours of our city. Participants can embark on ten-odd themed routes to explore exciting stories from Szczecin’s rich past. They will learn about urban legends, discover the unknown faces of buildings they walk past every day and go back in time to find out more about our city’s history. There will be a choice of over ten tours, which will include visits to cultural institutions and public buildings.
Sightseeing starts at 11 a.m. in Lotników Square. Some tours will be for ticket holders only and some will be open without registration for anyone willing to join. To register for free tickets with limited group access to cultural institutions and public buildings, go to www.visitszczecin.eu. Tour reservations start on 15 February.
Tour organisers include Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia and Zachodniopomorskie Stowarzyszenie Pilotów i Przewodników (Westpomeranian Association of Tour Pilots and Guides).
