      Ecoports help the heroic Inga

The fight for the life of a tiny SMA patient, Inga, continues. Once again, the Municipal Services Office has joined the fight and this time it is collecting waste paper which will be later passed to the organisers of the fundraiser.

Every penny counts, that is why you cannot be indifferent. The girl’s parents need as much as 9.5 million zlotys for gene therapy in the fight against SMA and for their daughter’s rehabilitation. It is an inconceivable amount of money for most of us which is why thousands of people from Poland have joined in to help.

Several weeks ago you could support Inga by donating any amount of money into a collection box set up by the Municipal Services Office stand at Jasne Błonia. For their donations, residents received oak seedings.

Now, in Ecoport at Arkońska Street, waste paper collection is under way.

“The organisers of the fundraisers have asked for help. They intend to sell the waste paper collected by the MSO and donate the money to the child ,” said Andrzej Kus, the city spokesperson for municipal affairs and environmental protection. “The collection will last until 15 June inclusive, which is why we encourage residents to visit the Selective Municipal Waste Collection Point during the opening hours of Ecoport, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 7pm and on Saturdays until 3 pm, and to bring newspapers, cardboard, etc.

For the last several months of fundraising, the parents managed to raise almost half of the required amount. There is still a shortfall of 4.8 million zlotys.

I would also like to remind you of the link to the fundraiser  held by Inga’s parents: www.siepomaga.pl/inga-sma.
