Coronavirus #90 – summary of the week

Childcare during the holidays, return of the Paid Parking Zone and support for students and entrepreneurs - these are the city's most important activities regarding coronavirus. Below you will find the last week report.

 

1. Kindergartens work during the summer break

- kindergartens and pre-school departments will operate in the form of holiday shifts according to the changed rules

- only those children who attend the institutions on a daily basis will be admitted to them.

- only the children whose parents are professionally active and cannot provide other care for their child will be able to take advantage of summer care

 

2. Nurseries work during the summer break

- Parents who are not able to provide other care for their child will be able to take advantage of summer care in nurseries

- there will be a limit of places in individual groups (max. 12 people)

- In the case of children from nurseries which will be out of service due to renovations (facilities No. 1, 7, 9), individual procedures will be used

 

 

3. More laptops for students

- The city bought 67 laptops and a tablet with a Braille reader for the visually impaired for Szczecin's pupils.

- The equipment is intended for the youngest residents who have difficulites with the implementation of the obligation of remote learning. The devices cost 165 000 zł.

- This modern equipment, which will soon be used by students for learning, will later support teachers in carrying out their daily professional duties. 

 

4. The government defrosts the economy starting from the 30th of May

- we do not need to wear face masks in an open space

- limits on the number of customers no longer apply in stores, at the market, post office and restaurants

- the organization of assemblies with up to 150 participants is allowed

 

 

5. After the City Council Session

- Paid Parking Zone returns, parking fees will be charged after the voivode has published the resolution (probably in the second decade of June)

- in business premises of entrepreneurs of all industries closed during the pandemic, from mid-March to the end of June a rent rate of PLN 1 per m2 applies

- during the summer holidays restaurateurs will pay half as much as usual rent

- entrepreneurs who run gastronomic gardens will receive as much as 90% discount for this purpose
