Coronavirus #86 – summary of the week

The highest security measures implemented after detection of a coronavirus in kindergarten, more customers will be able to come to the municipality, help for entrepreneurs and the airport - this is the most important information of the passing week for the residents of Szczecin. Below we present an overview of pandemic related news.
- Kindergarten „Żaczek” temporarily closed
- Public Kindergarten No. 31 "Żaczek" is closed for two weeks due to the occurrence of coronavirus in one of the facility's employees.
- the source of infection comes from the teachers family from the neighbouring province and not within the kindergarten.
- disinfection and ozonation are carried out in the facility, and by decision of the sanitary department 13 people were included in the home quarantine
- Further facilities resume operations
- This Monday, five Szczecin public nurseries will reopen (No. 1, No. 3, No. 6, No. 7 and the nursery branch No. 9)
- a maximum of 12 children can be in each group.
- preparations to launch schools for grades 1-3 are underway.
- The City Hall "opens the door" for residents
- from the 25th of May 2020 more people will be able to take care of their matters directly in the municipality.
- one still has to make an appointment prior to the visit.
- all applications and other documents can still be submitted via the correspondence box, e-mail and ePUAP platform.
- Help for entrepreneurs
- in business premises of all industries entrepreneurs who had to stay closed during the pandemic, from mid-March to the end of June a rent rate of PLN 1 per m2 applies
- during the summer holidays restaurateurs will pay half the rent as usual
- entrepreneurs who run gastronomic gardens will receive as much as 90% discount for this purpose
- Sports halls are open again
- classes and trainings may take place in roofed sports facilities, including: Netto Arena, MCSiR and Municipal Sports Hall
- the limits regarding the number of people in the halls as well as safety rules apply everywhere
- more people, because 14 instead of 6 can stay at “Orlik” pitches, stadiums and tracks
- Weddings in a larger group
- besides newlyweds and witnesses, 6 guests can attend the ceremony
- the presence of a photographer who can be in designated areas is allowed
- everyone must be wearing face masks and keep a safe distance
- Help for the Goleniów airport
- The City of Szczecin will allocate PLN 34 288 000 to recapitalize the Szczecin-Goleniów Airport in 2020-2028
- Only this year, aid for the airport will amount to over PLN 10 million
- the mayor of Szczecin together with the voivodship marshal and the mayor of Goleniów sent a letter to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland calling for the government support of the airport
- This year without the "Pod Platanami" meeting
- The 19th edition of the Meeting of the Szczecin NGOs "Pod Platanami" was cancelled
- an alternative form of NGO promotion is to be a special promotional film
