      Coronavirus #77 – summary of the week

      Opening nurseries and kindergartens, lifting some restrictions by the government and creating another place that helps the inhabitants of Szczecin. These are the most important information of the passing week for the Szczecinians in connection with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

       

      1. Opening of kindergartens and further nurseries

      - on the 18th of May almost all public kindergartens and pre-school departments functioning in primary schools resume their activities

      - further public nurseries will resume their activities from next week: Nursery No. 5 and Nursery No. 9

      - children whose parents have no other option to provide care due to the need to return to work are admitted to the institutions first


      2. Further restrictions are lifted

      - On the 18th of May, hair and beauty salons, cafes and restaurants resume operations

      - the number of passengers who can use public transport at the same time is increased

      - the limit of people who can practice at open-air sports facilities will be increased and the organization of classes in closed facilities will be available

      3. Clinic close to you

      - Psychologists and psychotherapists of „Clinic close to you” are waiting for applications from residents who need support in this difficult time

      - remote assistance has been launched for the sake of residents who, especially in an age of pandemics, should not be left alone

      - people who need specialist support can get free advice over the phone or via the Internet from Monday to Thursday from 15.00 to 18.00


      4. Changes in the functioning of public transport

      - on the 15th of May 2020 changes to Szczecin public transport timetables will be introduced

      - from Monday, the 18th of May 2020, more people will be able to travel on buses and trams - the permissible passenger limit will be increased to 30 percent of the vehicle's capacity

      - we urge you to follow the instructions of the services and bus and tram drivers, as well as to maintain social distance and hygiene rules in public transport


      5. The City Guard reminds you: cover your nose and mouth

      - on the 16th of April the obligation to cover the mouth and nose came into effect

      - it applies to being in public spaces, travelling (e.g. on foot, by bicycle, by public transport, etc.)

      - Szczecin City Guard reminds that the obligation to cover the mouth and nose applies not only to adults, but also to children over four years of age


      6. Tourist Information Centres are open

      - From the 15th of May Szczecin's Tourist Information Centres have been opened on Żołnierza Polskiego Square and Main Railway Station

      - customers are served in accordance with the current sanitary rules

      - according to the new rules, a maximum of two employees and one client may stay in the Tourist Information Centre
