Marta Kufel

52 computers were bought by the City for pupils from Szczecin schools. The equipment is intended for the youngest residents who have problems with the implementation of the obligation of distance learning. The cost of laptops amounted to 100 000 PLN.
- Schools are closed, so online lessons are the best way to acquire knowledge. Unfortunately, it often happens that there is only one computer at home and more children, and then there is a problem. Our support will allow to solve such difficult situations in dozens of homes, so I think it is something - says Piotr Krzystek, Mayor of Szczecin.
Laptops have been given to pupils from, among others, Elementary Schools No. 14 and 51, Special Elementary School No. 25 and School Complex No. 8. Other 13 computers will be given to other schools tomorrow. In the future, after the epidemic, the equipment will support teachers in carrying out their daily professional duties.
At the same time, anyone who has unnecessary (new or used) computer equipment can transfer it to Szczecin pupils. The action is coordinated by Technopark Pomerania. It is the Szczecin Science and Technology Park that companies or individuals who want to give or rent laptops, tablets or stationary devices to the youngest residents should reach to. Everyone who would like to help, please contact: komputer@spnt.pl. Schools that can identify students who want to use this form of assistance should also use the same email address.
Nearly 200 computers have been given to the youngest inhabitants of Szczecin so far.
