Coronavirus #60 – a guide for customers
Marta Kufel

Are you afraid that without leaving home you won't manage your matters in the City Hall? Registration of residence, vehicle registration or receiving a copy of Register Office certificate are just examples of procedures that are operated remotely. If you don't want to risk your health and others during the pandemic, use the Internet, the post office or a special box.
There is no direct customer service since the 20th of March, due to the coronavirus epidemic. A death registering is an exception here. The current activity of the Szczecin magistrate is in accordance with the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of the 19th of April, i.e. relevant administrative decisions are issued on an ongoing basis whenever it is possible.
Examples of matters that can managed via the Internet, post or the special box:
- registration matters
- adding to the voter list
- certificates from the population register
- applications for permission to sell alcohol,
- applications for taxi licenses and transport permits,
- change of correspondence address,
- applications for copies of a register office record,
- transcription of a foreign register office record,
- straightening and completing a register office record,
- certificate of civil status
- vehicle registration
- issuing for driving license (including loss, change of validity, change of personal data)
However, we would like to inform you that in exceptional situations regarding the above mentioned procedures, a person may need to appear in the municipality. The office worker will contact the resident to arrange a meeting which will take place under all security procedures.
In addition, in necessary matters, where a direct contact between the client and the official is necessary, a personal visit to the municipality will be possible only after booking the date by phone. This applies in particular to matters of the following scope:
- civil status registration:
- weddings (phone no. 91 424 5255),
- recognition of paternity (phone no. 91 424 5252)
- identity cards:
- issuing identity cards (phone no. 91 424 5948),
- submitting applications and reporting loss of ID card (phone no. 91 424 59 43, 91 424 59 44)
- cases realized in the branch of the City Hall (phone no. 91 4629 602, 91 4692603.)
- issuing driving licence (phone no. 91 424 52 75)
- issuing registration certificate and other vehicle documents (a visit will be arranged after examining previously submitted application)
Worth knowing:
- the temporary authorization and legalized registration plates remain valid for up to 14 days from the date of cancellation of the epidemic emergency or epidemic status.
- no fines will be imposed for not registering vehicles and not reporting sales within 30 days.
