Coronavirus# 121 – the number of vaccinated people is increasing

Over 15 thousand people have already been vaccinated at the General Vaccination Point at Sowińskiego Street. Every day around 600 patients get vaccinated there. Apart from the vaccine they also receive information and advice concerning preventive examinations and healthy lifestyle.

As part of practical classes, advice is given by first-year nursing and midwifery students from the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. They also inform patients about potential reactions to vaccinations and support the Point’s staff in their duties.

“This is a pioneer action in our city. We have not had such an initiative at any other vaccination point. Everyone will benefit from it: patients, staff and students, who will have an opportunity to put theory into practice,” said Professor Beata Karakiewicz, Director of the Szczecin Health Centre.

The General Vaccination Point launched by the City started its activity on 5 May 2021. It is located in the sports hall of the University of Szczecin and it is run by the specialists from the Szczecin Health Centre.

NOTE: Only persons who have received referrals for COVID-19 vaccination will be allowed into the Centre.

How to register for vaccination?

We would like to remind you that the Ministry of Health and the National Health Fund are responsible for the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme. In accordance with government guidelines, an enrolment schedule for each year is in effect. There are four options available for people who can register for the vaccination:
