Attention, alarm siren tests on Wednesday and Thursday

Nine more sirens have been installed in Szczecin. Therefore, on the 4th and 5th of September  this year (Wednesday and Thursday), sound tests of new devices that are part of the acoustic alarm system for residents will be held.

The signals will be heard in the areas of the following housing estates: Podjuchy, Słoneczne, Zdroje, Centrum, Śródmieście, Pogodno, Niebuszewo, Gumieńce.

As part of the test, the following sound signals will be emitted during the afternoon hours:

- 5-second test signal,

- 1-minute continuous signal,

- 3-minute modulated signal,

- 3-minute continuous signal.

After the individual tests are completed, a test of the entire acoustic alarm system will be carried out in the entire city of Szczecin. As part of the system test, a three-minute modulated signal will be emitted, followed by a three-minute continuous signal.

The emission of signals will be preceded by voice announcements. The entire system will be tested in the afternoon.

The messages and signals emitted are solely the result of the modernization of the city's acoustic alarm system and do not require any action by residents.
