      Arkonka is ready!

All the pools are cleaned. The Szczecin Mallorca is awaiting the first guests to inaugurate the swimming season. Here’s what you need to know before visiting the finest facility of this kind in Szczecin.

Starting tomorrow, through June and July the complex will be open from Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until 8 p.m. From August, it will be open every day, including weekends, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lifeguards will already be on site.

“All the pools have been opened for the swimmers: the sports pool, the teardrop-shaped pool, the sea, the rushing river,” states Andrzej Kus, the city’s Spokesperson for Municipal Affairs and Environmental Protection. “Access to the venue is via the main gates, and during weekends also from the car park. From 24 June the ticket office near the car park will be open daily from 10 am to 4 pm.”

Queues, which sometimes form at the entrance to the complex, can be easily avoided. Just install the Mobile City Card Szczecin app and buy a ticket through it. You can do it for the current day or... for two consecutive days.

Every day 2000 of such entry tickets will be available, allowing you to enter without queuing at the box office. A security guard will be present at the gate by the car park and at the main ticket offices, whom you can show your ticket to be scanned and enter the area.

There are plenty other attractions besides swimming pools at Arkonka. There are tennis and badminton courts, barbecue areas, a playground, an outdoor gym, deckchairs, hammocks, an artificial beach, beach volleyball pitches and a skatepark, which is really popular with young people.

Parking spaces for 200 cars are also available.

“The charge is PLN 2 for each hour,” adds Andrzej Kus. “Regular ticket for Arkonka is PLN 16, reduced – PLN 8.”

It is also possible to use the Szczecin Family Card and season tickets. A reduced ticket for 10 entrances costs PLN 72, and a regular one – PLN 144.
