      All Saints’ Day 2021 in Szczecin. Most important information

      See our report, in which we gathered the most important information related to All Saints’ Day in Szczecin.

      - From 1 April to 29 October – entrance for vehicles from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., exit until 9 p.m.
      - Discount tickets (passes) will not be valid on 30-31 October. No entrance to the Central Cemetery
      - 1 November – no vehicle entrance to the Cemetery
      - 2 November – entrance for vehicles from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., exit until 9 p.m.
      - In the period from 3 November to 31 March – vehicle entrance from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., exit until 6 p.m.:
      On Saturdays vehicle entrance from 7 to 11 a.m., exit until 1 p.m.
      No vehicle entrance on Sundays and holidays.

      1/ Due to increased pedestrian traffic, 29.10.2021 (Friday) is the last day to enter the Central Cemetery by vehicle. From 30-31.10 to 1.11.2021 it is forbidden to enter the cemetery by vehicle (this does not apply to law enforcement vehicles, hearses and emergency vehicles).

      2/ During All Saints’ Day we will be introducing additional working hours in the cemetery administration:

      - 30.10.2021 (Saturday) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
      - 31.10.2021 (Sunday) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
      - 1.11.2021 (Monday) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

      3/ Between 29.10 and 3.11.2021 40 additional portable toilets will be set up in the Central Cemetery. The toilets will be maintained twice a day i.e. until late night hours by TOI-TOI company. In the remaining cemeteries: Zdroje, Wielgowo, Płonia additional toilets will be added to the existing portable toilets (1 each) and additional 2 toilets in Dąbie cemetery.

      4/ Between 30.10 and 1.11.2021 a photographic and historical exhibition entitled BEM-NORWID-NIEMEN will take place by the pillars of the main gate. Author of the exhibition: Mr Piotr Mania.

      What is more, at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., a performance by a Szczecin musician Andrzej Szpak and his band will take place. They are going to sing Norwid’s and other Polish poets’ poems to Niemien’s music.

      5/ Holy masses in the main chapel will be held on 1.11.2021 at: 9 a.m., 12 (noon) and 3 p.m. Following the 12 noon Mass, a prayer procession to the twelve stations in the Central Cemetery will begin.

      On 1.11.2021 at 3 p.m., a Holy Mass in the Chapel of the Western Cemetery will be held.

      6/ For now, public collections and fundraising will be held at the Central Cemetery:

      - On 1.11.2021 by the monument “Tym którzy nie powrócili z morza” (To those lost at sea) organised by the Szczecin Master Mariners’ Club.

      On 1.11.2021 by the Katyń Monument for the renovation and conservation of Katyń Massacre memorial sites.

      On 29.10-1.11.2021 a public collection “Restoring the Memory of the Cursed Soldiers” organised by the Association of Soldiers of the National Armed Forces.

      7/ Entrance gates to the Central Cemetery will be opened and closed by the security company “SIGN”. The Central Cemetery is currently open every day until 9 p.m. All entrance gates are closed then. However, you can still exit the necropolis through the Main Gate. On 1 November, the cemetery will be open until midnight.

      8/ Commerce

      In 2021, 115 commercial places were sold, including 1 catering stand

      - Dąbie: 11 places
      - Zdroje: 5 places
      - Remaining cemeteries: 1
      - Central Cemetery (Ku Słońcu Street) 76 places
      - Central Cemetery (Mieszka I and Dworska Streets) 26 places

      On 2.11.2021

      A Holy Mass will be held at 3 p.m. in the Chapel at the Central Cemetery. After the Mass, a Procession to the pastoral tomb will take place (quarter 24a)

      Memorial trees

      On 23.10.2021 at 12 (noon), there will be planting of a memorial tree for Zofia Boniecka – the columnist, publicist, pedagogue and prose writer. In 1956-1957 she was executive editor of the social and literary weekly “Morze i Ziemia” (Sea and Earth).

      Vaccinations

      From today until 1 November, there will be a Covid-19 vaccination point by the Main Gate of the Central Cemetery,

      All interested persons will be able to get vaccinated from 22.102021 to 24.10.2021. (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 1 to 5 p.m., and from 25.10.2021 to 1.11.2021 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

      Vaccines available:

      - Johnson&Johnson for unvaccinated people
      - Pfizer for people willing to take a third dose.

      Municipal Guard:

      The Municipal Guard will be responsible for ensuring  security during the Holiday by safeguarding the public order in the vicinity of Szczecin’s cemeteries, with particular a emphasis on pedestrian and vehicle traffic, controlling compliance with traffic regulations, controlling commerce in the vicinity of the cemeteries and security in the area of the cemeteries and adjacent areas of main traffic routes on the approaches to and exits from the cemeteries.

      You will be able to see municipal guards on patrols together with police officers or employees of the Municipal Services Office.

      City guard patrols will be available for 24 hours. In order to ensure security during the Holiday, all uniformed officers will be working in shifts. 190 duty shifts were assigned for this time.

      For the safety of yourself and your loved ones, we would like to remind you of the obligation to cover your mouth and nose in public transport. Uniformed guards will be seen there too. When outdoors, please keep social distance.
