      Preferential coal sales began today at two points of sale.

      Coal can be purchased in two depots:

      - Firma Handlowo-Usługowa Jarosław Kolski, ul. Świerczewska 5, Szczecin, tel. 517 596 546;

      - Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowe Węglobud S.A.  skład opału ul. Jesienna 16, Szczecin, tel. 91 462 95 28, 501 153 951.

      Other points of sale are still waiting for the Węglokoks company to send them documents authorising them to sell coal. These are:

      - Andrzej Pawełczyk, depot at ul. Młyńska 1A, Przęsocin, phone 509 395 455;

      - Passa Michał Karaś, ul. Warcisława I 4B, Szczecin, phone 91 421 43 99.

      The price of coal in the aforementioned depots is PLN 2,000 per tonne (under the law, the price does not include carriage). To buy coal, a certificate issued by the City Hall is required. A certificate allows its holder to make a single purchase of up to 1.5 tonne of coal until 31 December 2022.

      In accordance with the Act of 27 October 2022 on the Preferential Purchase of Solid Fuel for Households (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 2236), coal may be purchased on preferential terms by households which:

      - have been paid coal allowance;

      - have submitted an application for payment of coal allowance and that application has been granted by the Szczecin Benefit Centre;

      - have not submitted an application for payment of coal allowance but which meet the eligibility conditions described in the Coal Allowance Act of 5 August 2022.

      PLEASE NOTE! There location in which certificates are issued has changed.

      From Monday 12 December, applications for coal certificates will be accepted at the Department of Environmental Protection, room 360 (3rd floor, left wing, pl. Armii Krajowej 1) and at the Szczecin City Hall Branch in the Prawobrzeże District, ul. Rydla 39-40, stand 9.

      Szczecin residents who have previously applied for coal allowance at the Szczecin Benefit Centre and whose application was approved will receive their preferential coal purchase certificates ”on the spot”. Other applicants will receive their certificates within 14 days.

      The application for a coal certificate may also be sent by post to the following address: Urząd Miasta Szczecin – Wydział Ochrony Środowiska, pl. Armii Krajowej 1, 70-456 Szczecin.
