Szczecińska Trzynastka - the Brass Band of the Community Centre "13 Muses"

We warmly invite you to another concert by the Szczecin Thirteen, the brass band of the ‘13 Muses’ Community Centre.

Szczecińska Trzynastka was established in 2021 on the initiative of Waldemar Kulpa, director of the Community Centre, by Mateusz Kupski, the orchestra’s artistic director and conductor.

The orchestra was founded to unite musicians who play wind instruments—whether amateurs, students, or professionals—and to revive and promote the tradition of wind orchestras in Szczecin. The ensemble aims to perform wherever music can enrich the lives of Szczecin’s residents and visitors—on both indoor and outdoor stages, during public holidays, and at cultural events.

The Szczecin Thirteen brings together musicians of all generations. Its members include the Brass Band of the ‘13 Muses’ Community Centre, students from Szczecin’s music schools, and passionate amateurs trained by the ensemble—individuals without formal musical education but with a deep love for music.

The group is organised and led by Mateusz Kupski, principal trombonist with the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic Orchestra in Szczecin. He is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and has collaborated with numerous Polish and international orchestras, including the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Gorzów Philharmonic, the Silesian Opera in Bytom, the Józef Elsner Philharmonic in Opole, and the I, CULTURE Orchestra. He also teaches at the State Secondary Music School on Staromłyńska Street in Szczecin and lectures at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.

Tickets are also available at the stationary ticket machine located at the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, small courtyard, entrance “I” (Cultural and Tourist Information Centre – on the left-hand side).
The ticket machine is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
