Pohlnische Capelle – A Shared Voice of Europe

Katarzyna Jackowska

National Museum, ul. Staromłyńska 27
Violinist Mikołaj Zgółka and the international ensemble Pohlnische Capelle bring to life the rich musical heritage of the 17th and 18th centuries. Inspired by the historical union between Saxony and Poland, the group revives the spirit of the Dresden Hofkapelle and its Warsaw counterpart, once known as the Pohlnische Capelle.
The concert in Szczecin features works by Hasse, Heinichen, and others, performed on period instruments – including elements of an Ottoman Janissary band.
