An exhibition of photography, graphics and drawings at the Enter Gallery.
Ewa Lidia | Searches 2.0 - Sisyphus - photography, graphics
The exhibition ‘Sisyphus’ is a reflection on the inevitability of the passage of time and the effort that people put into their lives, even if their work seems endless. In contrast to the myth of Sisyphus, questions arise: Is there any point in constant striving? Can beauty be found in the burden of daily duties?
The photographs and graphics show transience, also through landscapes where time seems to stand still, through objects covered with the patina of years. These are stories full of hardship, but also of quiet hope. It is a journey through a world full of symbols - clocks, stones, wrinkles on hands - reminding us of our fragility, but also our strength.
Maria Kulbacka | Fragments 2.0... beauty is within us! - graphics, drawing
Why fragments? Because they are different themes and different techniques... as if they were snippets of life.
In my work, I combine elements of realism with abstraction, using classical drawing and contemporary means of expression such as computer graphics. I never know the final result. I start with a line, and what will happen next? ... and that's fascinating!
Calligraphy is also one of my favourite means of artistic expression. Medieval manuscripts have long fascinated me with their craftsmanship and rich ornamentation. The inspiration for this theme is evident in my work. I combine the world of emotions and inner experiences in what I identify with most, namely art.
The exhibition will run until 31 December, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On 22, 23, 29, 30 and 31 December, the exhibition will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
