Szczecin is becoming the capital of Polish maritime transport! On January 17, 2026, a ceremonial christening of the ferry Jantar Unity will take place at the Chrobry Embankment (Wały Chrobrego). This is a unique opportunity to see Unity Line’s most modern vessel up close. We have prepared a complete event schedule for you—from the official ceremony to open days for visitors.
When and where?
The ferry Jantar Unity will arrive in Szczecin on January 15, but the highlight of the events will take place over the weekend. All events will be held at the Chrobry Embankment (Wały Chrobrego).
Saturday, January 17, 2026 – Christening Day
The most important part of the program, combining maritime tradition with a modern spectacle:

14:30 – Start of the ceremony at the quay

15:00 – Christening Ceremony: Official naming of the vessel and the traditional breaking of a champagne bottle on the hull of Jantar Unity

18:00 and 20:00 – Maritime Multimedia Spectacle: A unique show of lights, lasers, and mapping projected onto the ship’s hull, telling the story of the Unity Line fleet
Sunday, January 18, 2026 – Open Day
Would you like to see what the most modern ferry in the Baltic looks like from the inside?

Hours: 10:00–16:00

Admission: Free, no prior registration required (entry in groups of approx. 20 people)
