Feeding Station Project 2025/2026

We are joining the project for the third time! This year, the feeding station will once again be located at the Central Cemetery in Szczecin, where we will observe the lives of overwintering birds.
Why do we do this?
Bird ringing is an extremely effective method that allows us to:

monitor bird populations during the winter period,
-
learn about their origins,
-
analyse the impact of weather conditions on birds’ health and condition,
-
study age and sex structure,
-
track survival rates within a single season and across subsequent seasons.
A professional bird ringer will be with us at all times, ensuring that every stage of the process is carried out safely and in accordance with best practice.
