This year marks the 16th edition of the St James' Fair. From Thursday to Sunday, over two hundred exhibitors from Poland and abroad will gather in the shade of St James Cathedral and on White Eagle Square, offering handcrafted goods, artisanal food products, cured meats, dairy, and preserved vegetables.
The fair draws inspiration from the old Polish tradition of celebrating a parish church’s indulgence feast. Following religious ceremonies, pilgrimages and Holy Mass, the faithful would enjoy the festive atmosphere of a vibrant marketplace.
The event is held under the patronage of St James, who has watched over the cathedral hill for more than eight centuries.
The St James Fair is a family-friendly event, with a wide range of attractions for children, including games, contests, eco-education and catechesis.
