    12th International Tour Guide Day

    Plac Lotników

This year's 12th edition of International Tour Guide Day will take place on Saturday, 1st March.

Once again, Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia, in cooperation with the West Pomeranian Association of Tour Guides and Tour Leaders, will organise several dozen themed tours led by our qualified city guides.

As part of the 12th International Tour Guide Day in Szczecin, most city tours will depart from Lotników Square at 11:00 and conclude with an organ concert at St. James Archcathedral Basilica at 14:30.
An exception will be a few groups with visits to sites located further from the city centre, so please pay attention to the start time of your chosen walk.

A list of all unlimited (unnumbered) tours, as well as those with a limited number of places (numbered 1-12), is available at tourszczecin.eu (select the date 1st March).
Registration buttons will be active from Wednesday, 19th February 2025, at 10:00 for selected walks.

Participants will have the opportunity to choose from 29 routes across 32 groups and learn, among other things:

    • Whose name is given to the S-1 concert studio of Radio Szczecin?
    • What recurring programmes are broadcast on TVP3?
    • How many city panoramas of Pomerania are depicted in the ballroom frescoes of the Pomeranian Landowners’ Palace?
    • Which well-known Szczecin entrepreneur was a Freemason?
    • How many Stoewer cars can be seen at the Museum of Technology and Transport?
    • Where in Szczecin can you find sculptures depicting birds?
    • What types of puppets can be seen during performances at "Pleciuga"?
    • How many forts were part of the Szczecin Fortress?
    • Where can you find a Pewex advertisement?
    • How many dukes are buried at Szczecin Castle?
    • How can you recognise tree and shrub species in winter?
    • How many years did the Lentz family live in their villa?
    • What beer brands are produced by the Bosman brewery?
    • Where did a transport accident occur that led to stricter rail vehicle safety regulations in Europe?

Participation in all walks is free of charge.
