Polish Sailing League

Stadium-style sailing comes to Szczecin. From 17 September to 4 October, the Sailing Centre will host some of Poland’s best sailors competing in short, dynamic races on the country’s most modern fleet of RS21 yachts.
The Polish Sailing League has been running for more than 10 years. The series includes regattas in Sopot, Puck, Gdynia and Szczecin, with sailing clubs competing for the title of Polish Club Champion, promotion to a higher league or to avoid relegation – much like in football leagues.
All crews race on identical modern RS21 yachts provided by the organiser. The races take place close to the shore, making them easy and exciting to watch. Spectators can follow the action with the naked eye, track it via GPS on a smartphone and watch coverage on television.
The league brings together leading Polish sailors, including Polish, European and world champions, Olympic medallists, current national team members, junior sailors, beginners and amateurs.
The Szczecin programme includes finals across several levels of competition:
17–19 September – 1st League final
24–26 September – Ekstraklasa final / Polish Club Sailing Championship final
28–30 September – Youth League final / Polish Youth Club Sailing Championship final
2–4 October – Regional League final
