Inspector Jass on the Case – Jazz with a Story: Estate

To close the summer season, on the first evening of September, Inspector Jass invites you to Estate – a musical journey filled with warm, sunny memories and southern moods.

This concert is perfect for those who wish to hold onto summer for just a little longer – through sounds that recall balmy evenings and golden sunsets. Estate will be a celebration of the meeting of two worlds: jazz and Latin music. Since the 1940s, jazz has absorbed influences from Cuba, Brazil and South America – from mambo to samba and bossa nova, right up to today’s contemporary fusions. This creative dialogue has produced a unique musical language, where jazz improvisation intertwines with the rhythmic richness of Latin dance.

The evening takes its title from Estate, the sensual ballad by Italian composer Bruno Martino, popularised by João Gilberto and countless jazz greats. Expect timeless Latin themes, jazz standards in fresh arrangements, and new compositions inspired by the meeting of these traditions. Estate offers the perfect farewell to summer, in musical form.
