The Don Vasyl and Roma Artistic Ensemble was formed in 1987.
‘Roma’ because the core of the ensemble consists of members of the legendary Roma group, which boasted numerous tours around the world, including concerts at the United Nations headquarters in New York and at the famous ‘Olympia’ in Paris.
Over time, Don Vasyl discovered and promoted talented Gypsy stars: Dziani, Vasyl Junior, Elza, Patrycja, Carmen, Tobi and many others. The name of the ensemble was therefore changed to Don Vasyl and the Gypsy Stars. The ensemble continues to cultivate the artistic traditions of Roma.
