Arkonka opens for the season

As usual, we invite all water and sunbathing enthusiasts to “Szczecin’s own Mallorca.”

With all the swimming pools cleaned, the water tested and all the devices inspected and ready for use, we can officially declare that the bathing season is open! The visitors can access all swimming pools, including the sports pool, the “tear drop” pool, “the rapid torrent” pool and slides. As every year, lifeguards will be on duty to ensure that all water enthusiasts are safe. As always, in addition to the swimming pools, Arkonka will offer a multitude of other attractions, including tennis and badminton courts, barbecue spots, playgrounds, an open-air gym, beach chairs, an artificial beach, beach volleyball courts and a skate park. The place has as many as four eating spots if you get hungry after playing in the water.

Drivers can take advantage of two car parks near Arkonka – a paid one (PLN 2 per hour) and a free one. It’s also a great idea to get to Arkonka on a bicycle. You can leave them safely in front of the complex using one of the 100 bike stands.

“You can use the main gates to enter the complex or, additionally, the car park gates during the weekends,” said Paulina Łątka from the City Information Centre. “The cash desk near the car park will be open from 21 June – between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

To make things easier, you can buy tickets to Arkonka via the Szczecin Mobile City Card app. This way you’ll make sure you won't end up standing in a queue. Electronic tickets can be presented to security employees at the gates.

However, this is not the only option to buy tickets to the complex. There's a new solution waiting for everyone this year. To make things even more convenient, this year tickets in the app can be purchased for any date in the whole season, not just for the three coming days. Electronic subscription tickets are also available now.

Ticket prices stay the same

Children under 6 and people with disabilities attended by their carers can use the attractions at Arkonka free of charge.

“Whole-day discount ticket costs PLN 12, and a regular ticket is PLN 24,” said Paulina Łątka.

There are also cheaper subscription card options: PLN 108 - a discount card for 10 visits, and PLN 216 for a regular card. Discounts available as part of the Szczecin family Card and Senior Card also apply.

Arkonka will be open from Monday to Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 8:00 p.m. A minor change will be introduced in August, as the bathing site will be open between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on all days of the week.

The bathing season in Arkonka ends on 1 September.
