Dokładnie 3 kwietnia mija 777. rocznica nadania Szczecinowi praw miejskich. Ta ważna dla naszego miasta data jest znakomitym powodem, aby mocniej zainteresować się bogatą historią Szczecina i poznać jego niepowtarzalne piękno, także to minione, które możemy już tylko zobaczyć na fotografiach czy obrazach.
Z tej wyjątkowej okazji przygotowaliśmy dla Państwa album „Obrazy Szczecina - Szczecin w Obrazach”. Publikację zawierającą artystyczne kadry Szczecina – widziane oczami malarzy, rysowników, grafików, utrwalone ich talentem na rozmaitych podłożach: papierze, desce, płótnie – to cenne dzieła sztuki i świadectwa kunsztu ich twórców, ale również ważne, wizualne źródło wiedzy o przeszłości miasta, jego dawnym i współczesnym wyglądzie oraz skomplikowanych dziejach. Dzieła te są często także próbą opisu duszy miasta – jego genius loci.
Niestety ze względu na sytuację epidemiologiczną nie jesteśmy w stanie zorganizować wystawy, ani żadnych innych aktywności, podczas których moglibyśmy się spotkać, aby wspólnie wysłuchać opowieści o Szczecinie w narracji tych niezwykłych obrazów.
Niemniej, wierząc, że trzy siódemki z przypadającej na 2020 r. rocznicy nadania Szczecinowi praw miejskich, przyniosą nam wszystkim szczęście, serdecznie zapraszam do wirtualnej galerii, gdzie czeka na Państwa niecodzienna podróż przez wieki historii naszego miasta.

Album "Obrazy Szczecina - Szczecin w Obrazach" (FILM)
The 3rd of April 2020 marks the 777th anniversary of receiving by Szczecin its municipal rights. This important for our city date gives a great opportunity to become more interested in the rich history of Szczecin, learn about its unique beauty and remember its past through photographs and paintings.
On this distinctive occasion, we have prepared the album "Pictures of Szczecin - Szczecin in Pictures" for you. This publication contains the artistic frames of Szczecin - seen through the eyes of painters, cartoonists, graphic artists, preserved with their talent and expressed on various surfaces: paper, board, canvas. They are valuable works of art and testimonies of the artists' craftsmanship, but also an important visual source of knowledge about the city's past, its former and contemporary design and complicated history. These works are also an attempt to describe the soul of the city - its genius loci.
Unfortunately, due to the epidemiological situation, we are not able to organize exhibitions or any other activities during which we could meet to hear stories about Szczecin in the narrative of these unusual images.
Nevertheless, I believe that the “three sevens” from this years’ anniversary of receiving municipal rights will bring us all luck, therefore, I invite you to the virtual gallery, where an unusual journey through the centuries of the history of our city awaits you.

Genau am 3. April vergehen 777 Jahre, seitdem Stettin das Stadtrecht erhielt. Für unsere Stadt ist es ein wichtiges Datum und zugleich eine wunderbare Gelegenheit, der vielfältigen Geschichte und der einzigartigen Schönheit von Stettin Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken. Dazu gehört auch das Vergangene, das nur noch auf Fotografien und Bildern zu sehen ist.
Zu diesem besonderen Anlass haben wir für Sie das Album „Bilder von Stettin – Stettin in Bildern” vorbereitet. Maler, Zeichner und Grafiker präsentieren verschiedene künstlerische Abbilder von Stettin auf Papier, Brettern und Leinwänden. Diese wertvollen Kunstwerke zeugen von dem Talent der Autoren und dienen zugleich als eine wichtige visuelle Informationsquelle zu dem vergangenen und gegenwärtigen Erscheinungsbild der Stadt und deren komplizierter Geschichte. Sie stellen auch den Versuch dar, die Seele der Stadt – ihr genius loci – zu widerspiegeln.
Aufgrund des Epidemie-Zustands können wir leider keine Ausstellung organisieren und keinerlei Aktivitäten vornehmen, bei denen wir uns versammeln würden, um die Geschichte der Stadt durch Narration dieser außergewöhnlichen Bilder kennenzulernen.
Nichtsdestoweniger glaube ich daran, dass die drei Sieben, die für den 2020 stattfindenden Jahrestag des Stettiner Stadtrechts stehen, uns allen Glück bringen. Ich lade Sie herzlich ein, die virtuelle Galerie zu besuchen. Dort erwartet Sie die einzigartige Reise über Jahrhunderte der Geschichte unserer Stadt.
