Szczecin’s Majorca will become an ice kingdom. The preparation of the ice rink on Arkonka has begun. It will open on 1 December.
Skating devices are already disassembled and removed from the ice rink area, like every year. The inspections of the freezing and ice maintenance equipment has begun. Fences for the ice rink will be brought and assembled early next week. But the Christmas lighting is already being installed on poles next to the ice rink and on the ticket office building.
The ice rink will open on 1 December. It will operate till 27 February, possibly longer.
“It will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.,” says the City Spokesman for Municipal Services and Environmental Protection Andrzej Kus. “The main entrance to Arkonka will be out of service. The entrance near the parking lot will lead to the ice rink.”
Tickets will cost 8 zł per hour (discount tickets is for school and college students younger than 26 years old, retirees and pensioners – with a valid card). Full-price tickets will cost 12 zł. A discount pass for 10 hours will cost 70 zł, and a full-price pass – 110 zł. Disabled people and their carers will enter the ice rink for free. There is also a parking lot next to Arkonka, costing 1 zł per hour.
