The call for applications for community housing

The call for applications for community housing will be held in May. The procedure includes premises intended for those in need. The call is organised by the Municipal Buildings and Premises Authority (ZBiLK).

The call will be launched on 10 May (Monday) and will last until 21 May (Friday). You can start collecting all the document required for filing the applications. The applications may be submitted in person or by post.

Every adult resident of Szczecin who struggles with a difficult housing situation and obtains low income, may apply for the tenancy of a community flat. For instance, a family of three may have a maximum income of PLN 3002.10 a month.  Details of the other income thresholds are available
      here.

In special justified circumstances, the City may enter into a tenancy agreement where the income threshold criterion is exceeded by no more than 10%.

Pursuant to the Act on the protection of tenants’ rights, community flats are renovated, but their standard can be reduced (a toilet on the landing between storeys, stove heating). The rent for such flat is only about PLN 1.4 per 1 m2, so for a flat with an area of 40 m2 it will amount to PLN 56 a month, plus utilities (electricity, gas, etc.)

The residents’ applications will be given a score. The number of points will depend on, i.a., the period of residence in Szczecin, the number of children, state of health, current living conditions, and whether a given applicant is covered by the schemes operated by the Municipal Family Support Centre. The initial lists of the submitted applications will be announced based on the scores. Persons who object to the score they have received have the right to appeal against the decision within 7 days. Any appeals, remarks or complaints will be considered by the Social Housing Committee.

After examining all submitted appeals, ZBiLK will publish the final list of persons entitled to rent a community flat.

The application forms and detailed information about the call for community housing applications are available on ZBiLK’s website, in the tab “Wynajmij Mieszkanie” (“Rent a flat”), available  here.

To obtain information about your matter, you can also contact the ZBiLK staff by phone on working days, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

      - Phone: 91 48 86 301

      - Phone: 91 48 86 333

ZBiLK rented around 400 community flats as part of calls organised in the last seven years.
