Thank you for your participation in the Census

Marta Kufel

This is a once in a decade occasion! The National Population and Housing Census 2021 – the great nationwide campaign in which we, the citizens of Szczecin, also participated in huge numbers – is over. This is the most important survey to find out “how many of us there are”, “who we are” and “how we live”. The first results will be published by Statistics Poland early next year.
The census would not have been possible without the public statistics staff and the Municipal Census Offices. The one in Szczecin had 23 employees who, together with representatives of various institutions and local community leaders, constantly reminded us that #LiczySięKażdy (EveryoneCounts).
In order to mobilise residents of Szczecin to participate in the Census, our Municipal Census Bureau established numerous census points. We were present at the City Hall, the branch of the magistrate on Prawobrzeże and in popular shopping centres (Galaxy, Outlet Park). Special census counters were also set up (temporarily) in every Housing Estate Council in Szczecin and in selected branches of the Municipal Public Library. The enumerators also helped the citizens of Szczecin to take the census during several outdoor events in Szczecin (e.g. Żagle, Bulvarowe, Pamiętajcie o ogrodach).
Thank you for participating in the National Population and Housing Census 2021.
