Rayskiego Street comes alive again with Paradise Days!

Many people have waited for this day and here it is! On 17 July between 12 noon and 8 p.m. we meet on a section of Rayskiego Street, which will be packed with heavenly entertainment for both young and old. Everybody will find something there, as along with the street’s hosts (local entrepreneurs), NGOs and numerous people who love our city we are preparing a lot of good stuff!

This all-day event is meant to promote temporary, alternative functions of city centres, which involve handing them over to residents for purposes other than traffic. Please note that the street will be closed for car traffic along the section from Grunwaldzkiego Square to  Zamenhofa Square between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m.

4. A Day of Paradise on Rayskiego (Rajski Dzień na Rayskiego)

The agenda:

from 12 noon to 6 p.m.:

- book zone (including the Free Book Zone) and meetings with authors: Ola Zaborska, Jarosław Molenda, Marek Stelar, Małgorzata Duda, Mateusz Jakubowski and Wojtek Ciesielski

- pop up market, featuring artists selling their beautifully-crafted items

- (Paradise Vinyl Record Market) in cooperation with the 33’45” recordstore

- games and activities for children, including the Wandering Box and urban games with the Głowa mała theatre

- eco activities zone with workshops open to everyone

- active zone: POLITES Association, Lambda Association, AIESEC Szczecin

- paradise photo studio, managed by ThebestofSzczecin

Exhibitions and artistic activities in cooperation with the Sztuka u Fryzjera (Art at the Hairdresser’s) salon

- city quiz i and cycling workshops under the slogan Idee przez miasto (Ideas through the city)

at 7 p.m.: 

- a concert by Szczecin Brass Quintet in cooperation with the Marshal Food restaurant

and also:

- Sąsiakiada (An Olympiad of Neighbours), or a downtown competition (5 rounds: 2.00 p.m., 3.00 p.m., 4.00 p.m., 5.00 p.m., 6.00 p.m.;)

- workshops with Akademia Deskorolki (Skateboard Academy) (2 rounds: 1.00 p.m. and 2.30 p.m.; no sign-up needed)

- a walk with Marcin Chruśliński (marcin.o.mieście) “Szczecin (nie) istnieje!” (“Szczecin does (not) exist!”) (starts at 3.00 p.m.; also in Ukrainian)

- we draw a big “Downtown Comic Book” with Wojtek Ciesielski

   and more!

You can sit back at the nearby cafés and restaurants or take part in special activities prepared by some of them.
