New opening of Bogusława Promenade We are connected by colour

New quality will appear on the Bogusława Promenade as of 18 July. It will be interesting, colourful and safe, and thanks to a new series of events, the place is bound to become friendly to everyone.

The data marks the introduction of new elements, colour and positive accents. Residents and tourists will benefit from a safe and clean passage way filled with greenery and new design elements.

Starting next week, an increased number of cleanliness patrols will appear in the Promenade space. Cleaning works will be carried out early in the morning for  the residents to be able to enjoy a clean and tidy space on their way to work.

Security patrols, which will be responsible for not only safety but also for educational and order-keeping activities, will become a constant element of the location, in particular at weekend nights.

The Promenade is to gain more greenery in the days to come. Oxygen-producing trees, flower plantings or floral arrangements will add a fresh touch to the place.

A new element of this urban space is a graffiti created by one of Szczecin-based artists, and it is bound to become a must-be spot for every Instagram user.

A family fair, with a multitude of attractions, will be the first event as part of the series entitled “Bogusława Promenade - Connected by Colour.” 18 July will be literally packed with good experience.

“Young children will have an opportunity to go through a holographic labyrinth, where scattered light will produce an amazing effect,” said Celina Wołosz, spokesperson of Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia. “As we are moving forward, towards the fountain, we will be able to visit a stand with art workshops called "Szczecin Stained-Glass.” A colourful wall made of balloons will be an excellent background for photographs.

We will also have a chance to meet stilt walkers and take part in dance shows. Duke Bogislaw will attend the Promenade between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. to personally hold competitions. The event will also feature a theatre for children. It will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Light illuminations are the foretaste of the thing which are planned for the Promenade space this autumn. The decorations will be introduced in the summer holiday on selected weekends. Illuminated tenement houses and colourful lanterns will give the Promenade a new character and a unique background for photographs. This light surprise will add colour to the long autumn evenings on Bogusława Promenade. 

And you are invited to our “Deckchair Cinema” today (on Thursday).

“A mobile screen will be placed near the mosaic, and the film on today is Thelma and Louise,” said Celina Wołosz. “It starts at 09:30 p.m.” We have 100 deckchairs available.
