      Helping Inga is simple

All Ecoports located in Szczecin have special containers where you can dispose of throw plastic caps.

All the collected caps will go to the parents of the little Inga, who needs an enormous sum of money to fight SMA. It is an insidious disease that destroys the child’s body more and more every day.

The only chance for one-year old Inga to survive and cure SMA is gene therapy followed by rehabilitation. The cost of such treatment is nearly PLN 9.5 million. To achieve the desired goal, PLN 1.6 million is still needed.

“Every penny counts, that is why the City once again is joining in to help,” said Andrzej Kus, the city Spokesperson for Municipal Affairs and Environment Protection. “Since Wednesday, all Ecoports located in Szczecin were equipped with containers in which everyone can throw plastic caps. It will be possible during the working hours of each facility.”

Initially, caps will be collected until 25 September. After that time, employees of the Municipal Services Office will hand them over to the girl’s parents.

At the same time, we would also like to remind you that the Liść Dębu 2.0 (Oak Leaf 2.0) campaign, which is very popular, is still ongoing. ZUK (Municipal Services Company) has prepared over 1500 oak seedlings grown in its own nursery. They can be collected by anyone who brings at least 100 plastic caps. More than 200 people have already taken advantage of this opportunity. Here, all caps will also go to the sick girl’s parents.
